Following close behind biggest tech companies like Apple and Google making their entry to the smart home market, Vivint launched its own smart home platform called “Vivint SkyControl.” The Utah-based home security company stated that VivintSky will allow users to control door locks, lights, thermostats, monitor outdoor cameras using their tablets, laptop, and smartphones.

Vivint SkyControl panel serves as the newest addition to their system with the ability to learn intelligent suggestions, homeowner behavior for additional control over your home, and level of convenience. The new Vivint SkyControl has a larger touchscreen and a new operating system. It is a completely redesigned software and hardware developed by Vivint.

Vivint homeowners can engage in two-way communication by pushing the panel emergency button. Professional monitoring operators will dispatch fire or police departments in times of emergency. The panel includes speakers and microphones and speakers for communication.
